alludes to the idea that our understanding of this world will never truly be clear until we reach an end; until that point, we perceive life only through a fogged lens.

A selection of emerging and talented young artists explore and illustrate this idea through the varied disciplines of photography, video, painting, mixed media installation, music and performance art, all situated within the evocative setting of The Crypt Gallery.

Intricate models placed inside the walls of the gallery and beyond the viewer’s grasp speak of our dreamlike perception of reality. Photographs capture fragile and misty moments in forgotten places around England, while delicately painted nebulae and star clusters surrender unnerving truths to the attentive, revealing another dimension to the experience.
With ethereal sound and light bending and traveling throughout the gothic passageways, mysterious narratives painted in classical baroque style ask us to reconsider our initial interpretations and perceptions of this world, as the dawn and dusk of human mortality are explored in provocative physicality.

Here's a little afternoons distraction scheduled for this Saturday coming, a cross between a gentle pub-crawl and a London Historic Walk. Commencing 2 pm and due to finish for aroun 6pm but more than likely some dark souls will be heading off somewhere for afters. Starting at the Blackfriars pub, which is a place worth seeing just by itself!

This will take place around the Fleet Street, Blackfriars area of London and will be similar to our last ‘Sin In The City’ walk. There will be more pub time for socialising so, this will be a good event for new people to come along and meet others – as we walk from pub to pub Paul Reid, our guide, will give us talks on prisons, filth, murder etc, with a cheeky slant! Meet at 2pm at the Blackfriars Pub.

This event is FREE for all comers, the drinks in the pubs are not.

Hope to see some of you there.
LVG Monthly Meetup, LVG AGM and 'Crime and Punishment' pub walk and talk

Thursday September 10th @ 8pm – 11pm - Free to all

This month will be an LVG informal meeting – no talks or quizzes, just a chance to talk, drink and listen to some music! Meetings are held at The Plough (upstairs room), 27 Museum Street, London WC1A 1LH

Come along to our decorated room for drinks and chat. We will have a small stall selling Gothic-inspired cupcakes and jewels

Also, a couple more dates for the diary:

Thursday 1st October: LVG AGM @ Treadwells Bookshop, 34 Tavistock Street, Covent Garden Theatre District, London WC2E 7PB.

Open to all members and those who are interested in joining. The meeting will start at 6.30pm; teas, coffees, biscuits etc provided. I will be sending out an agenda soon. We are keen to have people attend who are interested in helping out with events, committee roles, magazine editing and writing etc.

Saturday 17th October – LVG “Crime and Punishment” Pub Walk and Talk – This will take place around the Fleet Street, Blackfriars area of London and will be similar to our last ‘Sin In The City’ walk. There will be more pub time for socialising so, this will be a good event for new people to come along and meet others – as we walk from pub to pub Paul, our guide, will give us talks on prisons, filth, murder etc, with (I imagine) a cheeky slant! Meet at 2pm at the Blackfriars Pub. More info will be sent out closer to the time.

D ;-)=
