02:14 am - Fun Stuff!
1. I'm very excited about moving in January to a new place with Mr Sam in Weston Super Mare! It will be bigger and I want to do it up so i can do shoots there. I'm thinking Lava Lamps and fluffy rugs. Tacky in an awesome kind of way! We will also have a spare room for all my shoes and clothes and stuff! It's going to be a cosy little love nest! haha!
It's been kind of horrible here for a while now. It's so small and expensive and most nights i come home late and just go to my room. Things have been weird with my flatmate too. We hardly ever talk anymore and it's just strange. I also haven't had a buzzer for over a year and our agency wont fix it because they say it's the people who own the property's problem but then the people who own the property say the agency should get it fixed. So nothing has ever happened despite complaining many times and I've had no buzzer for over a year which is a real bitch when I have visitors and I'm expecting parcels.
The new place is going to be a very good way to start the year.
2. I got my tattoo finished! It looks so much better now that it's all pretty and pink!
My tattoo dude is so awesome and fast which is really good because this baby hurt a lot! I wanted to say swear words! Especially the F word!
3. I'm excited about the Net Model Christmas party! I got my accessories for my costume in the post today (I'm having my parcels sent to my shop hahaha!) I'm dressing up as a Christmas Porno Fairy! It's going to be quite special :)
Some very odd girl from Bristol has pretty much stolen my model notes on Net Model and just changed them a little. I'm not really pissed off or anything I just think it's really odd! I've just taken mine down and I'm going to have to write up something else... something so awful that nobody would ever copy it.
Eeek it's 2AM! I might be naughty and watch some CSI.

03:02 pm - Harmonica Pistol
Here's an interesting one! Rather than mount the magazine vertically as in modern firearms, it's mounted horizontally, with individual chambers for each pinfire cartridge.

05:13 pm - direct line
today i continued playing with the same lighting set up as last nights post, (different girl of course), different feel for the shot. i love finding new ways to make use of spots that i've thought i had shot out in the studio.

He never raised his voice. That was the worst thing - the fury of the Time Lord - and then we discovered why. Why this Doctor, who had fought with gods and demons, why he had run away from us and hidden... He was being kind.
He wrapped my father in unbreakable chains forged in the heart of a dwarf star. He tricked my mother into the event horizon of a collapsing galaxy to be imprisoned there, forever. He still visits my sister, once a year, every year. I wonder if one day he might forgive her, but there she is. Can you see? He trapped her inside a mirror. Every mirror. If ever you look at your reflection and see something move behind you just for a second, that's her. That's always her. As for me, I was suspended in time and the Doctor put me to work standing over the fields of England, as their protector. We wanted to live forever. So the Doctor made sure we did.

Finally back from my adventures around Europe and having a rest in London! I have so many pics from Barcelona, Rome and Italy but I'm still going through resizing everything so far now I thought I'd just share this new pic. It was mostly a test shoot but I think it's rather cool :)
The armour is by Maunel Albarran, whose workshop I was lucky enough to visit briefly while I was in Barcelona. Ended up carrying a whole box of his amazing stuff back in my hand luggage for shooting. Very surprised the airport security didn't ask to search my bag!

01:10 pm - Help help!
Hi everyone!
I love crafts and making things but I am not very knowledgeable. So for Christmas my fiance and I want to paint glass jars with designs and scenes and such and then fill them with goodies as gifts but have no idea what paint is best to use on glass- what will last longest/look the best? If anyone knows please comment!!!
05:58 pm - Writer's Block: Book worms unite!
in no order of goodness -
Before and After by Mathew Thomas - this book made me laugh from beginning to end. Its all about The end of the world, Nostradamus and exploding sheep!
Dracula by Bram Stoker - Such a cleverly written book and a very enthralling story.
(Star Wars New Jedi order) Vector Prime by R.A. Salvatore. The start of one of the best StarWars storylines written - the Yuuzhan Vong war.
In no order of badness -
Lord of the Rings - Tolkein . I tried..i really tried to read these books as the stories are cool but the way he writes,SO long winded and dull!
Twilight Stephanie Meyer - Yep..guessed this would be there. WHAT DRIVEL! Badly written, awful grammar that's worse that any bad fan fiction.A lack of any depth and worst of all, making the lead female be SO pathetic that you want to slap her.....oh and sparkling vampires that so arn't vampires in any way shape or form.
(Star wars legacy of the Force) Bloodlines by Karen Traviss. I don't like Karen's writing style and obsession with anything technical. It was interesting to learn more about Boba Fett and his family, but most of that could have been condensed into a much smaller more intense story. My least favourite of the Legacy books.
05:07 pm - Family History
This photo was taken on 7 February 1920. It's the wedding of my Dad's Mother's Mother (my Nanna's parents). My Nanna has identified most of the people in the photos: (relationships with reference to her)
Men from left: Grandad Fred Moore (ie. My great great grandfather), Uncle George Moore, Uncle Reg Quarterman, Uncle Chris Moore (Best Man), Unknown young Quarterman, Fred Moore, Uncle Harold Quarterman, Unknown, Uncle Alf Quarterman (as a youngster!).
Front row ladies from left: Auntie Dolly Quarterman, Auntie Gwen Quarterman, Edie Moore, Unknown, Grandmother Moore (ie. My great great grandmother).
Cool huh?
10:27 am
i was in walmart and i looked at where the guns are. more than 3/4th of there shelves were empty of ammo.i asked the cashier there why are you so low on bullets and she said there haveing a hard time getting any.
so if there was zombies right now there wouldnt be enough ammo to stop them even if u got to walmart to get you some.
do you know other places you can by ammo if u need it right now.

12:27 pm - Cycle Surgery
Cycle Surgery in Holloway Road just became my favourite people evah.
On Wednesday, after an extremely pleasant evening drinking scotch at SMWS in delightful company my bike broke. The bolt that prevents the foldy bit in the middle from getting all foldy whilst you're riding it sheared off. *sigh* says I and takes it home on the tube. I was expecting this to be a bit of a nightmare to fix as Specialized don't make this bike anymore but the guys at Cycle Surgery have cobbled together some screws from around their workshop and fixed it for me for free. Even though it took them about 20 mins faffing about to get it sorted they didn't charge me a penny. I'm very pleased and will be taking my bike there to be serviced in future.
Right, time for cake! Bumble-bee o'clock ;o)
11:54 am - Battlestar Galactica 2 The Cylon death machine!
This book was by far the best sci-fi novel tie-in I've read. Obviously such books are not great works of literature, but they are fun. This one took the original ideas of the show and added so much more. There were all kinds of interesting ideas with the cylons, instead of just identical machines they became characters with ambition and depth. Vulpa was great, as was Imperious Leader's conversations with the fake Starbuck he had his computer generate. There were also passages from the point of view of the criminal prisoner brought to help them explore the ice world. It made me gain a new found respect for Athena and Boomer, and the parts of the Adama journals were truly great.
While only a novelisation of the episodes Gun on Ice Planet Zero. It was a very good novelisation and was enough to get me to go back and start rewatching the original series again. I don't know if there were any other original BSG novels. But if I find any I will definitely read them!
